Managing your subscription
MarketScale Pro is billed through your Apple Account, so all changes happen there — we can't start, change or cancel a subscription on your behalf.
- Cancel or switch plans: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → MarketScale. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
- Restore a purchase (new device, reinstall, or the app doesn't recognise your subscription): open the app and tap Restore Purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trial: new subscribers get 3 days free. If you've trialled before, Apple won't offer it again and the app will show the plain price instead.
About the AI, and reporting bad output
MarketScale uses Anthropic (Claude) to write your strategy, personas, calendar and ad copy, and OpenAI to generate ad images. What you type — your business description, goal and budget — is sent to those providers so they can produce your campaign. They aren't given your name, email or payment details.
You agree to this before your first campaign, and you can withdraw it anytime in Settings. MarketScale simply won't be able to generate anything until you turn it back on.
Everything MarketScale produces is AI-generated, so check it before you publish — especially prices, claims and anything about a competitor. If something comes out offensive, inaccurate or misleading, use the Report control on that section and we'll review it.
Using your own API key
In Settings you can add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key so generation runs on your account. The key is sent with your requests to reach the provider and is never stored on our servers. Remove it at any time — the app works without one.
Common problems
- A campaign stopped partway. Open it and tap Try again — it picks up from the last completed step instead of starting over.
- "The AI service needs credits." If you've added your own key, that key's account is out of credit — top it up or remove the key in Settings.
- Exports are locked. PDF and spreadsheet export unlock once your free trial converts to a paid subscription.
- "Couldn't reach MarketScale." Check your connection and tap Retry. Your campaigns are saved on our servers, not on the device.
